On Wednesday 20th September, 8 girls went to the Shrewsbury Sports Village:
Charlotte Fletcher, Emily Fletcher, Izzy Oldroyd, Lily Watson, Grace Seymour, Phoebe Jones, Olivia Bellamy and Sadie Dain.
They played a variety of games.
They won 3-0 against Lacon Childe
0- 0 against Priory
0-0 against Thomas Telford
4-0 against Idsall B
They then reached the semi-final against Mary Webb which ended 0-0 so went to penalties. Grace Seymour saved 2 penalties and we scored two which in turn got us through to the final where we faced Thomas Telford again in the final round.
Izzy Oldroyd was our top goal scorer throughout the games!
The game again ended 0-0 with Thomas Telford meaning it was the nerve wracking penalties again. Grace saved the first penalty, Emily Fletcher then stepped up to take BBS first penalty and scored- the pressure was on for Grace, but she did it again! Second penalty saved. Charlotte Fletcher came up to the penalty spot- if she scored then we’d won! And she did it! Straight into the top right hand corner. BBS beat TTS in the final of the county tournament putting us through to the next round!
