The Mathematical Challenges aim to promote mathematical thinking and enhance problem solving skills.  Last year over 675 000 students from more than 4500 schools and colleges entered the challenges.

All challenges have 25 multiple-choice questions set by teams of experienced problem setters.

The highest-scoring pupils in the UK are invited to follow-on competitions.
